Almere Benoordenhout in Dutch Landscape Architecture and Urbanism Annual 201010-12-2010

'Almere Benoordenhout', our design for a new sustainable neighbourhood in Almere Hout Noord, has been selected among 25 projects for the Dutch Yearbook Landscape Architecture and Urbanism. The book was presented on December 11 in the Creative Factory, Rotterdam.

 

Almere Benoordenhout was the entry by Vestia Housing Corporation for a new neighbourhood in Almere Hout. Zandbelt&vandenBerg were responsible for the layout of the urban plan in 2009. The yearbook about Benoordenhout: "This entry for a new neighbourhood in Almere only defines the outline of the spatial structure. Although this actual response to insecurity over time didn't win, it is a challenging view."
