The babyboom-generation will soon retire. This group, our 'new elderly', is different: they want to decide themselves where and how to live. In this publication we explore the needs and desires of the fiftysomethings and how the City Region Rotterdam can accomodate them. As living for seniors is more than about retirement homes, we inventarize the diversity of the group, we map existing and new ideas for housing and show which places in the regio fit best for creating new environments for seniors.
